The Park Avenue Club Ribbon Cutting Marks Opening of Highly Anticipated New Event Spaces
(Florham Park, NJ, October 2, 2018) – The Park Avenue Club (www.parkavenueclub.com)is thrilled to announce the grand opening of their new event spaces. Members and guests of the upscale private dining club in Florham Park will now be treated to two distinct state-of-the-art event spaces, a two-story grand foyer, and expanded outdoor patios and gardens. The project added over 10,000 sq. ft. of interior space to the club and resulted in one of the finest event venues in New Jersey. The occasion was commemorated with a ribbon cutting ceremony, where members and invited guests explored the new spaces and enjoyed all that PAC has to offer.
The cornerstones of the project include a new 5,200 sq. ft. Ballroom and a 2,400 sq. ft. Pavilion room. The ballroom accommodates up to 400 guests, and features 24’ high ceilings, a fresh and neutral color palette and large glass window walls with French doors that spill open to an expansive, private outdoor patio. The Pavilion room accommodates groups up to 175, and boasts a vaulted ceiling, oversized windows, and French doors that also provide access to an outdoor patio.
“This project was several years in the making, and the reception from our members and special guests could not have been more enthusiastic,” reported Gregory Smith, Executive Director of Park Avenue Club. “The event spaces are the first phase in a vision to reinvent Park Avenue Club as not only a tremendous year-round social and dining club, but also one of the finest event venues in the state.”
What makes the club unique is its charitable mission – with proceeds directly supporting the Park Avenue Foundation and its 13 member nonprofit organizations. “Our members know that when they dine with us or host an event, they are helping to change lives for the better. The spirit of giving is engrained in our members, and our new spaces will only enhance that support,” explained Mr. Smith.
Park Avenue Club membership is comprised of families, individuals, and corporate executives. They utilize the club for personal and business networking and entertaining, as well as hosting private events such as weddings, mitzvahs, celebrations, meetings and the like. Profits are shared with participating nonprofit organizations.
About The Park Avenue Foundation and Park Avenue Club
The Park Avenue Club, with an IRS designation of 501(c)(7), is the only private club in the nation that exists primarily to benefit the multiple charities and cultural organizations of the Park Avenue Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
For over 20 years, Club members have experienced and enhanced their social and business lives at the Club all while supporting the Foundation’s mission. Since its inception, the Park Avenue Foundation has provided over $6 million to their nonprofit partners.
The Park Avenue Club was once a large dairy barn, built in 1894 by the Sisters of Charity from St. Elizabeth’s. Several prominent individuals in the area partnered with 600 businesses and 2,500 caring individuals to miraculously transform the dilapidated structure and establish the Park Avenue Club on September 24th, 1994.
